Mike has over 30 years’ experience in the Business-to-Business (B2B) software and IT services industry, predominantly in enterprise information-lifecycle solutions for commercial and public sector organisations. He has held leadership roles in several global B2B software companies and has been recognised as an award-winning CEO/Digital Entrepreneur by Business Technology magazine.
Mike joined Preservica in 2013 as Commercial Director. In 2016 Mike was promoted to Chief Executive Officer with overall responsibility for the company’s product & commercial strategy. Mike’s mission at Preservica is to ensure that organisations are aware of the importance of "Active Digital Preservation", and that they adopt appropriate strategies to ensure that vital digital content is future-proofed and made accessible for compliance, regulatory, corporate re-use and cultural heritage reasons.
This session will examine the critical role that information
managers play in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for the governance
of long-term digital records. Using case studies, a range of strategies and
tactics used to achieve buy-in for governance strategies will be explored.
The session will feature organisations that have demonstrated commitment to
ensuring access to and protection of business critical digital information
assets over successive generations of technology and custodians.
