Information Services Manager, Transport for London

Tonic has over 20 years experience in IT, records management and corporate transformation projects. He currently works for TfL (London Underground) as the Information Services Manager with the brief responsible for streamlining all information flows to create a single source of truth; disrupt traditional ways of working and introduce leaner processes. 

In his previous role as Corporate Records Manager for Westminster City Council he lead a corporate transformation initiative on the back of a fixed deadline office relocation project; exploiting mobile, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and remote working opportunities to reduce the council's paper footprint. 

Having held previous roles in IT Service Delivery, Tonic's passion lies in harnessing enabling technologies to co-create and redesign information processes with the customer, realising cashable efficiencies alongside improved customer experiences. 

Tonic is a Certified Records Manager (ICRM), an Information Risk Practitioner and holds an MSc in Information Systems Management. He is an active member of AIIM. 

Outside work Tonic is keen marathoner, raising funds for a number of charities, follows and contributes to contemporary discussion on information management trends.

Digital Transformation: Paperless or Paper Light?; A Case Study


Understanding the need to transform from Paper to Digital Archive Westminster City Council embarked on a Council wide declutter programme in 2015. This involved removing active filing from working areas across multiple departments and implementing hot desks to promote remote working.

This session will look at the lessons learnt on digital transformation including how to keep costs down and benefits high.
