What attracted you to the IRMS Conference event?
I have found every conference a great combination of having fun while learning loads. I enjoy meeting up with colleagues who have such a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
Where do you see the Information Record Management industry heading over the next few years?
Cyber Security is the great buzz phrase for the moment, but perhaps another GDPR theme which might become particularly important is the human rights aspect of what we do.
When you think about the industry, what keeps you awake at night?
Trying to identify every information flow to ensure that we're doing the right thing with people's information - and the big fines if we get it wrong.
If you have been to the IRMS Conference event before, what was your highlight?
Some of the speakers have been absolutely fascinating and enlightening. The social side is one of the best parts though.
What do you feel is the most pressing pain point of end-users in the industry for 2018?
In the NHS, the lack of up-to-date technology - the enormous frustration this causes staff.
Who has helped shape your career, and how?
Several people have - by providing advice, guidance and support at key moments; and by being great role models.
If a time machine could take you anywhere for one day, when/where would you go?
Too many places I would like to go for fun! But to maybe make the world a slightly better place; 4th April 1968 the Lorraine Motel in Memphis - to try and stop the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
