A fresh start with information management – Registers of Scotland’s approach to SharePoint migration
Case study outlining how we made a new start with information and records management at Registers of Scotland, moving from shared drives to SharePoint Online. I’ll give an overview of the pragmatic, proportionate approach we took to configuring and rolling out SharePoint. I’ll explain how we chose from the myriad of features available, to prioritise those that would deliver the most benefit and improvement in a manageable and sustainable way, allowing SharePoint to be introduced at a pace that was acceptable to the organisation, and bringing users with us on the journey. I’ll also cover the lessons we’ve learned along the way. I hope to inform people, demonstrate how to improve compliance and give others confidence in making similar wholesale changes in their own organisations.
