How sustainability can drive meaningful transformation in records management

Organisations are increasingly focused on delivering on the sustainability agenda, but how does that impact the records management industry and what role can records management experts play to promote real change? 

In this session, Crown’s Head of Sustainable Development and Director of Digital show how through collaboration on clients’ key business agenda, they are supporting organisations in understanding the positive impact they can have on the environment and society more widely. They’ll share experiences and lessons learned since Ann last presented to the IRMS Conference back in 2022.

Crown has been driving sustainable transformation across their organisation based on their three-pillar responsible business strategy.  In this session, they will share how they have tackled this challenge, the lessons learnt and quick wins. They will explore how this focus is leading to innovation and transformation of their records management business, as they seek to support their client’s accelerating digital transformation agenda and the need for both physical and digital approaches to information management to come together. As part of this work they are seeing that active management of physical and digital records is helping to promote changing behaviours whilst making a measurable contribution to the sustainability agenda.
