Is AI the New GDPR?: Making IRM a Priority for Organisations

When GDPR came into effect, information and records management improvements moved to the top of the To Do list. Now, with growing demand from businesses to utilise AI tools, could this be another great opportunity to highlight why good information governance has to be a priority? Use that demand to generate support for improving IRM systems and information security, implement better retention and disposal practices, and bring information management back into the spotlight.

In this session, the PPF’s Information and Data Governance Manager will outline how the desire to implement Microsoft 365 Copilot enabled her to advocate and gain support for information governance improvements. Hear how becoming a key stakeholder in the project led to writing a Generative AI Acceptable Use Standard; highlighting data protection requirements; addressing information oversharing and DLP; improving training and guidance on managing information in M365; and increasing awareness of what good IRM looks like.
