Dr Elizabeth Lomas is an Associate Professor in Information Governance at University College London situated within an interdisciplinary department of Information Studies. Her research focuses on probing the nature and implications of informational truths and rights taking into account the impact of technologies, change and margianlised groups. She is the policy lead on the AHRC funded project (Memory-Identity-Rights in Records-Access) which is a collaborative research project framed with care leavers as critical co-researchers at the heart of the work. This work has resulted in a project funded by The National Archives and Archives and Records Association and led by the Association of Chief Archivists in Local Government to improve the creation and management of records of adopted and care-experienced people. Elizabeth Co-Chairs the Advisory Group for the project and is part of the project board.
