Head of Digital Information Operations for Cabinet Office and DExEU, Departmental Records Officer, Cabinet Office and Department for Exiting the European Union
David has been Departmental Records Officer for The Cabinet Office since 2015 and also for the Department for Exiting the European Union since its creation in 2016. David has been in the Civil Service for nearly 30 years and has held a number of operational, business support and policy roles many of which have focused on data and information: he was responsible in the Ministry of Justice for the creation of the Register of Judgments, Order and Fines and for moving the majority of civil court business online. He then took on improving the quality and accuracy of data in the electoral register before writing the policy for the individual electoral registration system in the UK. After a period acting as secretary to a ministerial counter fraud taskforce in Cabinet Office he took on improving its information management as part of an IT Transformation Programme.
