Records Manager, University of Leicester
David Jenkins is the Records Manager at the University of Leicester. He has over 10 years’ experience working in archives and records management. Graduating with a MScEcon in Archive Administration from the University of Wales Aberystwyth David began his career as an archivist at Derbyshire Record Office in 2007 before taking up the role of Corporate Records Manager at Derbyshire County Council in 2009. David began his current role at the University of Leicester in 2017 with a remit to create the University’s first ever records management service. Working in the records management field David has considerable experience in electronic document and records management system implementation, information governance, developing BS10008 scanning solutions, off-site document storage contract management, and delivering training.
