Regional Vice President, UK & I, Kofax (UK) Limited
Jim’s early career was in banking, with roles in marketing, international banking operations and management services. His first exposure to IT precipitated an immediate change in career direction, an abandonment of his Institute of Banking course, and led to several senior operations roles in the bank, a manufacturer, a retailer and a pharmaceutical. Jim joined Computer Associates in the late 1980s, and moved up through the ranks to become Divisional VP for Strategic Accounts. He has subsequently headed teams in leading and innovative technology businesses. He has become something of a specialist in disentangling the jargon of technologists and the creative application of technology to real-life business problems. He has secured venture funding in a start-up, been in the team saving a heritage industry name in a trade sale, acquired, been acquired, and experienced most variations in between in a 35-year career in technology. Jim lives in Hampshire, referees rugby and drives a classic car in his spare time.
