Public Records Officer, National Records of Scotland (NRS)
Robert Fotheringham has worked in the National Records of Scotland (NRS) since 2000. Robert has experience of working in various areas within NRS. He has provided advice to researchers looking to use the archives at NRS and he was also responsible for providing archival and records management guidance to Scottish courts, tribunals and other legal bodies. He is currently part of the assessment team responsible for the implementation of the provisions of the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011. The team was presented with the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) ‘Records Management Team of the Year’ award in 2013. Robert has also in the past acted as the IRMS Scotland Secretary.
