Andrew Harvey is Head of Information Governance / Data Protection Officer at Guy’s & St Thomas’ and Kings College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts.

He has held multiple senior roles in Data Protection, including two Directorial posts, serving as Data Protection Officer for the IRMS, and Chairing both national and regional Health and Care Strategic Information Governance Networks (SIGN).

He holds a Master’s in Information Rights Law and Practice (Distinction), a Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, and a Data Ethics Professional qualification from the Open Data Institute.

His contributions have been recognised with the IRMS Author of the Year Award (2018), a nomination for the ICO’s Data Protection Practitioner of the Year (2019), and IRMS Fellowship (2020).

Outside of work, Andrew is a lifelong Doctor Who fan, especially the Patrick Troughton era, and lives in West Sussex with his wife and twins.
