Information for Delegates
The IRMS conference offers two types of all inclusive packages to cater for different budgets.
Accommodation is offered at the conference venue. Alternatively we offer accommodation at a nearby hotel.
The all inclusive packages include the following: Sunday night & Monday nights accommodation at your chosen hotel, breakfast at your chosen hotel on Monday & Tuesday mornings, full conference for both days including lunch & refreshments, Sunday night social event (includes food) & a place at the gala dinner. Conference day only passes are available, please do note that this option does not include any accommodation.
Please note: all attendees are required to familiarise themselves with our code of conduct ahead of the conference.

Who should attend the IRMS Conference?
The IRMS Conference is aimed at anyone and everyone working in information governance, records management, data protection, information security, IT, privacy and other similar fields – including practitioners, managers, consultants, vendors and students. Whatever your level of responsibility and expertise, there’s something here for you.

Are there any speaking opportunities?
If you’ve got something to share, we want to hear about it! Our call for contributions runs throughout the autumn each year (but we also welcome expressions of interest at any time).
How do I find out what the prices are?

Do I need to pay for meals, drinks and accommodation?
If you have booked a fully inclusive package, then meals are included with the conference (so long as you attend the evening functions). Drinks are provided, yet drinks in the evening are limited. If you choose not to attend the evening functions, we cannot cover food costs. Breakfast is served in the hotel you’re staying at on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Is my IRMS membership up to date?
Revolution Events manage the Conference and are unable to answer this. However, the great team at KSAM manage IRMS membership administration and can answer this for you – please email info@irms.org.uk or call 01625 664520.
Has my invoice been paid?
We can easily check this for you. Please email irms@revolution-events.com.
Are refunds available?
Cancellations made up to 90 days prior to the event can be refunded in full, less bank charges and an administration charge of £100. Cancellations made less than 90 days prior cannot be refunded.
I’ve booked, but can no longer attend. Can I send a substitute in my place?
Of course! Substitutions can be made at any time. We will need this in writing, so please send an email to irms@revolution-events.com with the name and job title of the new attendee. Please detail any dietary requirements they have.
Do I need to attend the whole Conference?
We know how precious time is. If you can’t attend the full conference we do have day only rates available. Prices can be viewed here.
Can I book accommodation for extra nights?
If you’d like to stay a little longer, please book directly with the hotel, we cannot accept responsibility for these bookings. If you would like to ensure you are in the same room throughout your stay, please notify the hotel. This cannot be done until a few days before the conference, as the hotel will not have our rooming list until then.
Can I bring my partner with me?
You are more than welcome to bring a partner. There is a cost of £50 pppn. Please note there are additional costs for guests to join the Sunday night Social and Monday night Gala Dinner.
When can I check in and out of the hotel?
Check-in at the conference venue is usually from 3pm, with check out by noon. However we will let you know the confirmed times via email in advance of the conference.
I have food allergies. Who do I notify?
If these were not noted upon registration, please email irms@revolution-events.com.
I don’t drink alcohol, are there alternatives offered?
We have other soft drinks available, please ask the conference staff for assistance.
Is seating at the Gala Dinner allocated?
There is free seating at the Gala Dinner. If you do have any dietary requirements, please notify your server when being seated.
Do I need to take my badge to the Gala Dinner?
If you have booked the Gala Dinner yourself or it’s part of your package, you will be given an invitation when you arrive at registration. Please bring this with you to dinner. If you forget it, we will need to tick your name off a list. You don’t need to bring your badge with you.
What do I wear?
Sunday Night Social is casual. Both conference days are casual business attire. 2026 conference theming will be announced soon, then we can let you know the dress code for the Gala Dinner.
How do I get to the conference venue?

Are slides available after the conference?
You’ll be able to access all presentations once you have completed your feedback form, unless the speaker has asked us not to share.
Cannot attend the 2026 event, but want to come to 2027?
It’s a shame you can’t make #IRMS26, but you can register your interest for the 2027 conference by emailing irms@revolution-events.com
I haven’t attended before and am a bit nervous!
We understand that it can be a bit daunting! However, you won’t be the only one who hasn’t attended before. Our IRMS Leadership Team are on hand to help navigate your experience at the conference. Revolution Events are nice and friendly too 😊
What if I don’t know anyone else who’s going?
The great thing about the conference is that there are so many networking opportunities, it won’t be long until you find new friends! The conference app is a great way to break the ice before the event.
Can I find out who else is attending?
We actively encourage you to download our conference app – it’s a great way to network prior to the conference. Please use your unique code to download the app to get full functionality. This is available to download a few weeks before the conference.
Who are the IRMS Leadership team?

What time does it start and finish each day?
The programme is not yet confirmed, however we’ll kick off around 9am and finish at 4-5pm. And if you’re coming for the whole event, don’t miss the Conference Fringe.
Will there be free Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the conference.
When and how can I download the app?
The App is available around 6 weeks prior to the conference. Please email Emma at irms@revolution-events.com, as you’ll need a unique code to access all features.
Can I sign up for updates about the Conference?
