Teaching the Future: Developing Ethical and Adaptive Information Professionals for the AI Era

10:10 - 10:50

As AI and automation redefine professional boundaries in information management, educators must prepare the next generation to lead ethically, adapt rapidly, and think critically. This workshop invites academics, trainers, and practitioners to co-create strategies for embedding digital ethics, adaptability, and reflective practice into LIS and records management education. Drawing on teaching experience across the UK and Africa, Kenneth will demonstrate how experiential and values-based learning can strengthen professional resilience and integrity. Participants will collaboratively design a skills framework that aligns with evolving technological and societal demands.
