Mark Lester

Mark has been working in Welsh Government since late 2024 as a E-Discovery Manager within the Knowledge and Information Management team. Before that they spent (nearly) 20 years working in higher education in various library related roles. Being a recent(ish) entrant to a new sector has meant getting used to lots of different acronyms, processes and new ways of working by supporting the Welsh Government’s response to the UK Covid Inquiry. Mark is also the lead for a legacy drives project tackling the digital heap within Welsh Government. Mark takes a keen interest in the use of technology within records and information management (particularly in the use of AI) alongside the intersections of process design/user cantered service design within spaces occupied by KIM work.
