Who should attend the IRMS Conference?
The IRMS Conference is aimed at anyone and everyone working in information governance, records management, data protection, information security, IT, privacy and other similar fields – including practitioners, managers, consultants, vendors and students. Whatever your level of responsibility and expertise, there’s something here for you.
What makes IRMS Conference better then the rest?
The IRMS Conference brings together 400 delegates from the public, private and third sectors in the UK, Europe and beyond for 3 days of unrivalled learning, networking and social events in a friendly atmosphere at unbeatable value rates. Cannot attend the 2027 event, but want to come to 2028?
It’s a shame you can’t make #IRMS27, but you can register your interest for the 2028 conference by emailing irms@revolution-events.com
What time does it start and finish each day?
The programme is not yet confirmed, however we’ll kick off around 9am and finish at 4-5pm. And if you’re coming for the whole event, don’t miss the Conference Fringe.
Will there be free Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the conference.
Can I sign up for updates about the Conference?
Of course! Email us at irms@revolution-events.com and we can add you to our database.
Booking & Registration
How do I find out what the prices are?
Conference prices are currently being reviewed. To get an idea of how much places are click here. If you have any queries, please contact us at irms@revolution-events.com or call 01892 820942.
Has my invoice been paid?
We can easily check this for you. Please email irms@revolution-events.com.
Are refunds available?
Cancellations made up to 90 days prior to the event can be refunded in full, less bank charges and an administration charge of £100. Cancellations made less than 90 days prior cannot be refunded.
I’ve booked, but can no longer attend. Can I send a substitute in my place?
Of course! Substitutions can be made at any time. We will need this in writing, so please send an email to irms@revolution-events.com with the name and job title of the new attendee. Please detail any dietary requirements they have.
Do I need to attend the whole Conference?
We know how precious time is. If you can’t attend the full conference we do have day only rates available. Rates for 2027 are currently being reviewed – Previous prices can be viewed here.
Accommodation & Venue
How do I get to the conference venue?
The conference venue will be announced very soon.
Can I book accommodation for extra nights?
If you’d like to stay a little longer, please book directly with the hotel, we cannot accept responsibility for these bookings. If you would like to ensure you are in the same room throughout your stay, please notify the hotel. This cannot be done until a few days before the conference, as the hotel will not have our rooming list until then.
Can I bring my partner with me?
You are more than welcome to bring a partner. There is a cost of £50 pppn. Please note there are additional costs for guests to join the Sunday night Social and Monday night Gala Dinner.
When can I check in and out of the hotel?
Check-in at the conference venue is usually from 3pm, with check out by noon. However we will let you know the confirmed times via email in advance of the conference.
Food, Drinks & Dietary Requirements
Do I need to pay for meals, drinks and accommodation?
If you have booked a fully inclusive package, then meals are included with the conference (so long as you attend the evening functions). Drinks are provided, yet drinks in the evening are limited. If you choose not to attend the evening functions, we cannot cover food costs. Breakfast is served in the hotel you’re staying at on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
I have food allergies. Who do I notify?

Can I view the food menus for the event?
We don’t have the food menus for the 2027 event, but they will be here as soon as we do.
I don’t drink alcohol, are there alternatives offered?
We have other soft drinks available, please ask the conference staff for assistance.
Event Socials
Can I attend the social events if I’m only attending for one day?
Yes – depending on your package, additional tickets for the Sunday Night Social or Gala Dinner may be available to purchase separately. Please contact the team for availability.
Can I attend the conference without attending the evening socials?
Of course. The evening events are optional, and you are welcome to attend only the daytime conference sessions.
Do I need to take my badge to the Gala Dinner?
If you have booked the Gala Dinner yourself or it’s part of your package, you will be given an invitation when you arrive at registration. Please bring this with you to dinner. If you forget it, we will need to tick your name off a list. You don’t need to bring your badge with you.
Is seating at the Gala Dinner allocated?
There is free seating at the Gala Dinner.
What do I wear?
Sunday Night Social is smart casual. The Gala Dinner dress code will be announced once we know what the 2027 theme will be.
Last years theme was – Black Tie Optional – Enchanted Forest Elegance
Inspired by the timeless beauty and mystique of Celtic woodlands, we invite guests to wear formal attire that feels comfortable and confident. Options might include tuxedos, suits, gowns, jumpsuits, or elegant cocktail wear. Rich jewel tones, greens, and subtle nature-inspired touches will complement the evening beautifully.The theme is interpretative rather than costume-based, so there’s no need to buy anything new – just wear what makes you feel your best. Participation in the theme is optional, but smart dress is appreciated for all guests.
Conference Content & Participation
Are there any speaking opportunities?
If you’ve got something to share, we’d love to hear from you! Our call for contributions runs throughout the autumn each year, although we welcome expressions of interest at any time.
Are slides available after the conference?
You’ll be able to access all presentations once you have completed your feedback form, unless the speaker has asked us not to share.

First-Time Attendees & Networking
I haven’t attended before and am a bit nervous!
We understand that attending for the first time can feel a little daunting. Rest assured, you won’t be the only delegate who hasn’t attended before. The IRMS Leadership Team, alongside the Revolution Events team, will be on hand throughout the conference to help guide you and ensure your experience is as enjoyable as possible 😊
We highly recommend attending the conference exchange event, as it’s a great opportunity to meet the Revolution Events team, the IRMS Leadership Team, other delegates who are new to the conference, as well as delegates who have attended before and are always happy to share advice and help you find your feet.
What if I don’t know anyone else who’s going?
The great thing about the conference is that there are so many networking opportunities, it won’t be long until you find new friends! The conference fringe is a great way to break the ice before the event.

Who are the Revolution Events team?
The IRMS Conference is brought to you by IRMS and managed by Revolution Events. The Revolution Events team are on hand throughout the conference to support you, whether that’s at the registration desk, in sessions, or in the exhibition hall.

Is my IRMS membership up to date?
Revolution Events manages the Conference and are unable to answer this. However, the great team at KSAM manage IRMS membership administration and can answer this for you – please email info@irms.org.uk or call 01625 664520.
