Anne Grzybowski is currently the acting head of the Information Governance division at Heriot-Watt University. Where she has been Records Manager since February 2020 and has led the development of the University’s current Information and Records Management Programme and the University’s Optimising M365 Project.

Anne is also the Chair of the IRMS HE/FE Special Interest Group, and a member of the Jisc-led team that won the IRMS Team Award in 2025 for their work revising the Higher and Further Education Business Classification Scheme and Records Retention Schedule.

Before joining Heriot-Watt University, Anne spent almost 17 years at the University of Edinburgh where she provided advice and guidance to all units of the University on information governance issues including records management, freedom of information and data protection. Previously Anne worked as an archivist in special collections at her Alma Mater, the University of St Andrews.
